Business Solutions is a new business unit within Welcon Technologies that has been created as a combination of our Control Systems team and our Software Development team.

This team is in the unique position to be able to understand your plant structure at the lowest level (where PLC's pass information into Data Historians, etc) and provide this information up to staff and management in web-based solutions that are easy to read and drill-down through - allowing all staff the ability to see information such as:

- Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE)

- Plant, Section & Equipment KPI's

- Calculated real time

- Downtime/Breakdown;
- Scheduled Maintenance;
- Operating Delays;
- Setup Hours;
- Standby Hours;
- And much more, viewed over hours, days, shifts, etc.

- General Plant Data Analysis

This type of system means that the overall plant efficiency and productivity can be monitored in real time which can reduce off-spec outputs, scrap and rework.

Welcon has undergone specific training by Rockwell Automation in their RS BizWare Software Suite. This training was conducted across our Engineering and IT staff to ensure a full set of capabilities within this area. An example of one of these software products is RS BizWare PlantMetrics. It can provide much of the above information via a simple to use web based graphical interface.
